Specialized psychosocial support

Finding your bearings when the path has grown complex

Living with chronic pain or a complex or invisible illness can affect far more than one's health. Ankra offers a space to take the time to understand what is being experienced, clarify needs, and find bearings suited to your situation.

01
Who is support for?

A space for you, just as you are

Ankra supports individuals living with chronic pain, complex or invisible illnesses, as well as the loved ones who walk alongside them every day.

There is no need to have all the answers or to know exactly what you need before reaching out to us.

What we can work through together

Clarify, organize, prepare

  • putting words to what is being experienced;
  • clarifying needs and priorities;
  • organizing information that is difficult to keep track of;
  • preparing for certain procedures or appointments;
  • understanding the impact on daily life and relationships;
  • finding realistic bearings;
  • communicating the lived experience more effectively.

03
How it works

Sessions centred on you

Sessions take place online, in a confidential space. They are centred on your situation, your needs, and what matters most to you at the time. Depending on what is relevant, support may draw on various Ankra tools.

04
Autonomy

You remain in control of your journey

Our role is not to make decisions for you. We are here to help you clarify, understand, prepare, and move forward from where you stand. Your decisions, your priorities, and your journey are your own.

05
Our scope

A clearly defined role

Ankra offers specialized psychosocial support. Our role is not to establish a medical or psychological diagnosis, to prescribe or modify treatment, or to replace the professionals responsible for your care.

Ankra is not an emergency service. In case of immediate danger or a serious situation, call 911. For non-urgent health or psychosocial concerns in Québec, you can reach Info-Santé / Info-Social at 811.
