1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing ankra.org or using its content, you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, you may stop using the website.

2. Nature of the website and services

Ankra provides specialized psychosocial support and publishes general information, tools and educational content. The website does not constitute a medical clinic, a diagnostic service, a psychotherapy service or an emergency service.

3. Health information and the Observatory

The articles, files, Observatory texts and other content on the website are intended for informational and educational purposes. They do not constitute personalized medical advice, a diagnosis, a prescription or a recommendation to modify a course of treatment.

Scientific knowledge evolves. Ankra seeks to distinguish between what is established, what remains hypothetical and what is still uncertain, but does not guarantee that any content will remain current indefinitely. A date of last update may be indicated where relevant.

4. Decisions regarding your health

Decisions concerning your health, treatments and care pathway must be made with the qualified professionals appropriate to your situation. Using the website or an Ankra tool does not replace an assessment by a health professional.

5. Emergencies

Ankra is not an emergency service. In the event of immediate danger or a serious situation, dial 911. For a non-urgent health or psychosocial issue in Québec, you may contact Info-Santé / Info-Social at 811.

6. Support and bookings

Descriptions of sessions, durations and fees published on the website are provided for information purposes regarding the offering in effect at the time of consultation. Ankra may modify its offering, availability or fees. The terms applicable to a booking are those presented at the time the booking is made.

No cancellation or refund policy is created by these Terms. If such a policy is adopted, it must be communicated clearly before booking and added to the website.

7. Ankra tools

The Health Compass, The Navigation Guide, The Pain Atlas®, the Ankra Mapping Method® and other Ankra tools are designed as supports for reflection, formulation, organization or understanding. They are not diagnostic tools and do not replace a professional assessment.

Certain tools may be publicly accessible, while others are used within the context of support sessions and are not available for download.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, the content of ankra.org, including texts, graphic elements, logos, tools, methods, editorial structures and documents, belongs to Ankra or is used with authorization.

You may consult the content for personal, non-commercial use. Any reproduction, adaptation, redistribution, commercial exploitation or substantial use requires Ankra's prior authorization, subject to exceptions provided by law.

9. Trademarks and designations

The names, logos, trademarks and designations used by Ankra, including The Pain Atlas® and the Ankra Mapping Method®, may not be used in a manner that suggests an association, endorsement or authorization that does not exist.

10. External links

The website may contain links to external resources. These links are provided to facilitate access to information. Ankra does not necessarily control the content, availability or practices of these websites and does not automatically endorse all of their content.

11. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to use the website in a manner that could compromise its security, its operation, the rights of others or that contravenes applicable laws. It is prohibited, in particular, to attempt to access without authorization any protected systems, accounts, data or features.

12. Electronic communications

When you communicate with Ankra through a form, email or an external service linked to the website, you accept that the response may be transmitted to you electronically. Electronic communications carry inherent risks; avoid using a general form to transmit sensitive information that is not necessary for your request.

13. Availability and modifications

Ankra may modify, suspend or remove a part of the website, a tool or content without notice where reasonably necessary. Ankra does not guarantee that the website will be available without interruption or error at all times.

14. Reasonable limitation of liability

Ankra takes reasonable measures to provide useful content and a functional website, but use of the website remains your responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, Ankra cannot be held liable for a health decision made solely on the basis of general content on the website, a temporary interruption of the website or the content of an independent external service.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec and Canada, without restricting the mandatory rights to which a person may be entitled under law.
